Fleet management for Road Safety Compliance: An Introduction to DailyChecks.co.uk
Introduction: In the fast-paced world of commercial transport, maintaining rigorous road safety compliance is not just a legal requirement; it's the bedrock of a responsible and efficient operation. Yet, for many fleet managers, this critical task is often hampered by outdated systems, cumbersome paperwork, and the sheer complexity of diverse vehicle types.
Enter DailyChecks.co.uk, an innovative Software as a Service (SaaS) solution developed by Strath E Commerce Ltd. Designed from the ground up to streamline commercial fleet management, DailyChecks.co.uk offers a compelling value proposition: low capital investment combined with robust, secure cloud storage for all your critical data, safely away from vulnerable company servers.
Comprehensive Coverage for Every Vehicle Type: Whether your fleet comprises heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), public service vehicles (PSVs), light goods vehicles (LGVs), gas or electric forklifts, or even container vehicles, DailyChecks.co.uk provides a broad and adaptable range of daily checks. This ensures that employers can effortlessly manage compliance across their entire workforce, regardless of vehicle type. For larger or highly specialised fleets, our enterprise package offers the flexibility to add bespoke checks for unique vehicle types, guaranteeing comprehensive coverage.
Beyond routine checks, DailyChecks.co.uk also centralises incident and accident reporting, offering a unified platform for all your compliance and safety documentation under a single, intuitive company dashboard.
Experience Real-Time Compliance in Practice: The true power of DailyChecks.co.uk lies in its practical, real-time application:
• Driver Engagement: A driver logs into the platform, easily selects their vehicle, and completes the correct digital checklist tailored to that specific category. This user-friendly approach ensures accurate and timely submissions.
• Instant Defect Flagging: Crucially, any defect flagged during a check is immediately actioned. An instant email notification is dispatched simultaneously to the transport manager, traffic desk, and workshop manager, enabling rapid response and minimising potential delays or safety risks.
• Transparent Repair Audit: The workshop can then easily mark the defect as repaired, with every action meticulously recorded. This creates a full, unassailable audit trail, essential for accountability and regulatory compliance.
• Proactive Compliance Monitoring: Forget retrospective reports. With DailyChecks.co.uk, you gain immediate visibility into your fleet's compliance rate in real-time. This empowers you to identify trends, address issues proactively, and maintain optimal operational standards, rather than discovering problems at the end of the month.
Effortless Onboarding and Practical Features: Getting started with DailyChecks.co.uk is designed to be as straightforward as possible. We offer a free 30-day trial, allowing you to easily register and explore the comprehensive company dashboard for administration. For fleet managers with existing vehicle data, populating your database is simple: just send us a CSV file, and we will securely upload it to your dedicated cloud environment.
Onboarding drivers is equally seamless. By simply registering their name, email address, and a company code (which your administrator sets), they are added to your driver records and can commence their daily checks straight away.
The daily check submissions themselves are crafted for practicality. They include fields for the next service due date, MOT due date, and offer notes sections for every check item. A key feature is media capture, allowing drivers to easily upload photos. This is invaluable for accurate parts identification and detailed descriptions of defects, significantly aiding workshop efficiency and record-keeping.
